This has been mentioned numerous times and always arrives at the same conclusion: because of legal reasons, servers in the U.S. are a great risk because they are prone to being taken down more easily by Blizzard than if hosted outside the U.S.

Don't let geographical location fool you.. MPAA was a US based organization but still was able to get international sites seized, taken off line, and have the homes of the foreign nationals raided due to torrent sites..

He said taken down EASILY -- that is a geographical issue. You really think the Pirate Bay would have lasted if their server was in US territory? Imagine leveling a toon to have it seized by the feds. No thank you, I'll deal with the megaserver and its issues.
