Horde chasing Alliance all over the map....

by roestvrijstaal » Sat Jun 13, 2015 12:07 pm

I have no idea where to post this but leveling as an alliance on this server atm is seriously not fun.
Every corner there's a horde player (read 1 atleast mostly more and grouped up) gangking.

Can't even do quests. This makes my experience on this server very bad and I already stopped playing a few days because of it. And I am sure more people have because of it.

Leveling a toon on vanilla is already a long grinding session as it is.

I believe there's not much alliance on this server wich in the end is not good for the server (also you horde)
If you want to make this a better server then it already is then let alliance do their quests so we can have a healthy community.

I knows this post will have zero to none effect I'm just posting this in the hopes some of the defs will pick it up and maybe do something with it.

Afterall it's in their benefit if this server becomes increasingly popular. The way I see it that if in 6 months from now there's a 20/80 AH ratio this server will die out faster then you would like.

Anyway i'm back to playing another game now instead of playing wonderfull vanilla. And all because horde won't let me do my quests...ever.

peace out.

Actually, if you did any research at all. You'll see the first thread in General Discussion is the A/H ratio. And its almost dead even all the time.

So you're upset that PvP is happening on a PvP server?

The same could be said for horde btw. I have a Horde alt and I get ganked by alli repeatedly. I have an Alliance alt and I get ganked by horde repeatedly.

The A:H ratio is actually surprisingly good. 45:55, maybe? That being said, if you want to quest peacefully, join a PvE server. You rolled on a PvP server, you should expect to be ganked. That's PvP servers in a nutshell.

I would gladly be alliance but i gave enough as an alliance. My first 3 month of playing i was horde , i cam back as an alliance for the next 6-7 years. Join private server , as an alliance to help again the ratio .... well i m done now. I finally wanted my Warlock to be able to eat corpse. I m still missing my human vanila racial. The detect stealth is a HUGE thing for a lock. Just press on that and dot that rogue. On a server like this one rogue are everywhere. Ganking is a part of this. I m only lv 12 and as soon i reach lv 18 i m going in Redridge to be there permanately. Leveling by grinding mob and killing alliance. If i was an alliance i would have been a hunter and i would go level in stone talon mountain to track and kill horde ..... I m here for world pvp. My advice , don t quest solo ...... make a group of 5 , quest and kill stuff. I dont think leveling really fast here is the best idea. Enjoy leveling slowly and kill everything that is red. And by the way , I believe 5 lv 30 can down a level 60.

First off all let me start by saying that those statistics bullshit. There is no way A:H ratio is 50:50
The reason this is probably is because a lot of starters are rolling alliance now but more then half stop before level 10.

Fact is in every contested area you come you see at least twice as much horde as alliance. And this is not me talking shit out of my ass.

Anyway i'm not surprised by any of these reactions. Read my initial post why I posted it.

I don't suspect any solution to this problem anyway. I just giving me thoughts on it.

peace out.

Ganking will always happen on PvP servers because there are awful people playing. I got one Alliance toon to 50 and had to stop playing it because I was literally being corpse camped by ONE player every time I played - most likely over something I said on the forums. So I leveled another toon to 60 (my Mage) to avoid this psycho. There were many frustrating moments, but I made it. And the one thing I DON'T do now is gank Horde lowbies. I don't have some delusion of "paying back" the shit that was doled out to me leveling by making someone else miserable. I would prefer playing on a PvE realm, but I put up with the bullshit because Nost is the best Vanilla realm around.

tl;dr - Ganks happen. It sucks. You learn to deal.
PvP Realm
Malachic - Lv 60 Mage (Frost)
Malapriest - Lv 60 Priest (Heals)
Malahunt - Lv 60 Hunter (Bang/Twang)

Ganking will always be a thing, and I don't think ganking is at fault here. If there's a problem then it's due to the A/H ratio. I haven't seen a single official ratio so far, just numbers that members claim are correct. So far I've seen more 30/70 ratio than anything else. It might be 50/50 if you use 1-60 statistics, but I highly doubt it's 50/50 if you do 15-60. Horde being the vast population of the server, at least at later levels.

This ^^

Also I quited my 32 paladin. Guess no healing for me at 60.
Instead I made a Female Gnome Rogue purely for world pvp actions. Let's see how long I make it before I get back to my paladin..if ever.

peace out.

Did you even bother to look over the images and the data contained in them and take it all in, or did you just look at the total horde : alliance numbers and have an immediate knee-jerk reaction?

The census data is plainly laid out; the bulk of both factions are presently level 60 with the next biggest chunk of alliance players between levels 10 and 35. From levels 36 to 59 the numbers dwindle down considerably. But guess what, the horde has a nearly identical census count as well. The only thing that appears unbalanced from this data is the alliance actively has a little over 600 level 60s whereas the horde actively has a little under 800 level 60s.

This means the bulk of players in both factions level up to 20-something and, to a lesser extent, 30-something before stopping for whatever reason. Ganking happens to both factions. It's a PvP server, it's entirely expected. If you have data that speaks otherwise or information that can prove the census data is flawed or broken, I'd love to see it. Honestly it would be great to know because that could be used to improve the overall quality of the server, but until such data is produced, saying "It's bullshit" doesn't cut it.

P.S. How many times are you going to "peace out?"
