Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

It is permanently raining in almost every zone. I've been to Feralas on two different characters and it was never not-raining there. Same with Elwynn. I can't remember it not raining in Elwynn since launch. Same with Stranglethorn.

The herbs need to grow and the metal in the mining nodes need to rust. Playing http://www.rainymood.com may also make the rain more enjoyable

No more rain, but the gradients for rain may still be there. That's something that can't be done without modifying the patch... which I don't recommend.

I've been using this command though as you said the gloomy darkened-grey look of the rain remains.

This must be a bug surely. It seems as if it's raining when it's supposed to be sunny, and sunny when it's supposed to be raining. After reading the WoWiki on the weather effects added in patch 1.10, it's clear one permanent rain with the same consistent strength was not intended...

Even though weather effects were added in 1.10, that's part of the client. Sadly can't be removed.
I do know you can change the weather through GM commands, but don't know if GMs have them. Might only be admins.

I've never had this problem. So it seems like a rather weird issue, could it be client side? Because when I leveled in Elwynn, it only rained once and I was there for probably around 16 hours or so due to professions. Fishing, cooking, first aid etc.

Weather should be determined through the server and not the client. I've seen zones be rained on for over 40 hours straight when I stayed up for days to level. The inverse has also happened before too. Droughts have lasted for days on end as well which is seemingly normal.

Because searching for existing threads is difficult.
