Number of herb and ore nodes way too low?

Number of herb and ore nodes way too low?

Ore and herb nodes are super rare compared to how it actually was in vanilla. Is this intentional or is this some sort of known problem with the server?

I searched and see that there have been previous threads about this but I can't find any kind of official response. At this point Mining and Herbalism are both insanely frustrating and nothing like they were in vanilla wow.

I think it's more that the number of players is higher rather than a lower number of nodes.

they are rare because a lot are gathering. stuff doesnt spawn slower or less.
and some things like rich thorium veins for instance are easier to get than on vanilla retail

It doesn't matter if its the same spawn rate as the vanilla wow servers, obviously the server population is way higher so we need more nodes to make it play more similarly. Regardless of the reason, the number of nodes is far too low and should be increased.

the point is, the "too high" pop causes several problems and always will. ofc you can try to eleminate as many factors linked to that as possible so it atleast feels a little more blizzlike, but some things will always remain.

so while nobody wants a 2nd server or anything alike, ppl want higher spawnrates of everything. because about this they feel handicapped. so, we only adjust and fix things ppl feel handicapped about, but when ppl are prefered, nobody complains and it stays?

so if you want the issues caused by a higher pop fixed, you should also want the benefits removed, because the goal is to make it as blizzlike as possible, right?

At this point a 2nd server would kind of be a crappy option unless they allow character transfers to the new server. Again, regardless of why it is an issue or how they fix it, it is an issue.
