Switch Re-Specc Costs to Silver

Hello,

like the topic already says I suggest to switch the Re-specc or Re-skill costs to silver. I know this is a "classic"-server but this isn't a game-changing thing. It just would help the people a lot.
So everyone would pay maximal 50 silver to reset their talents.
For example def warriors would be able to farm then...

I know everyone loves classic for the harder content and so on, but that would not change the game, just a help to improve and i think everyone know that the talents were to expensive in classic...

Also I know this method from a german classic serv (wow-classic.org) with 1k people and that was the only changing they did and it was brilliant in my opinion.

Well perhaps not that low of an amount, but a considerably reduced amount would be awesome, right now it's one mistake and 1g (or more if you've already reset your talents) down the sink.

Just. Fucking. No. High cost to respec is a critical vanilla element.

Be happy the cost at least decays if you don't do it for a while (well you just said 1g so not for you, but some day when you are over 5g you'll appreciate the decay.)

A big part of vanilla is making hard choices and having to sacrifice one thing for another... you make respecc costs dirt cheap, and every assclown will have 2-3 roles (and a set of items for each, which they can easily get with all that fucking gold they'll be saving) instead of making another character.

As a side effect, you'd also have a lot more people hording rare items that they would have simply auctioned, disechanted, not bothered to need roll in the first place because someone else in the party could use it more, etc... it would affect the entire game economy in subtle ways.

The game NEEDS gold sinks like respec cost, repair cost, mount cost, etc - please deal with it, this is how it's SUPPOSED to be.

Paying 5g for repairs is a gold sink. Paying auction house deposit fees is a gold sink. Paying 100g everytime you want to pvp is madness

Then make more than one char? Why do you think people roll new chars? It isn't just to have a bank toon. And at level 60 honestly 100g isn't some insane fortune... It's expensive enough to prevent you from constantly doing it, but not enough to make it impossible to do from time to time. Also as others have said, sometimes getting caught in a less than ideal situation and having to deal with it skillfully (like pvp when you're pve spec'd) was part of what made vanilla challenging...
