Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Since you guys don't want to have seperate server for PvE because of the logistics nightmare of having another realm, and character transfer and such, I propose an alternative. A Custom NPC found in Stormwind and Orgrimmar respectively that for a price of 1 gold you can switch your server preference from PvP to PvE, or vise versa, with a 24 hour cooldown on the effect. You wouldn't need a new server, and it would consist of adding two custom NPCs and maybe a few custom debuffs and PvP and PvE realm preference.

I know you guys want to stick with being as blizzlike as possible, but let me tell you, not having a PvE realm alongside and PvP realm is not blizzlike because in the old days there where many realms. So by refusing to have another realm for PvE your are diverging from your desired "blizzlike" design. What is 1 other divergence to give people the option to opt out of the world pvp aspect of a PvP server?

You can use this addition to also gather data to determine what the community thinks concerning a PvP realm and PvE realm rather than based on the word of a few. As a leveling player I hate world PvP because its almost never me being the aggressor its horde attacking me. Don't believe? go to STV and look at all the skeletons at Nesingway's camp, read the general chat and you'll see at nearly all times of day the horde endlessly camp STV. I hate ganking because its only slowing me down, preventing me from accomplishing what I want. If I want PvP that is what battlegrounds are for or Gurubashi Arena.

This eliminates the realm type entirely... you are indeed asking for a PvE server just by making a 'compromise' of adding a 1g money sink (which isn't that much btw) to switch over to "laugh at the opposing faction because I'm a carebear" status.

Not to laugh at opposing faction, be left alone so I can level in piece along with I imagine fair chunk of the playerbase. Yes 1 gold is not a lot because its so low level people can switch over before they head off to quest in contested areas. Having a PvP only realm forces people to suffer through high gankers who are bored and in turn this hatred they develop because gankers turns them into ganker; Causing an endless cycle of violence. Those of us who have no wish to partake in world pvp get screwed because there is no other place to go, no other server, no other realm (feenix wow is bad because the devs have a horde faction bias and went out of there way to deliberately bug the Alliance side classes).

I support the OPs idea.

I much prefer a PvE server type, but I've put up with PvP type server before Nost, so I'll put up with it again. It's just a hassle when all I want to do is reign death and chaos on unsuspecting NPCs but half the time is spent running back to my corpse as a result of a PvP battle that I had no interest in haha..

It will forever remain a PVP server, and they devs do not and will not have the resources or care to make a pve server for you. Especially since free.

Additionally, no such thing exists in the retail WoW client then, nor now. Therefore, it will NEVER exist in this client. Keep dreaming big.

You did not read my post thouroughly, you probably read the title, huh? I'm saying that since they don't have a PvE realm they're already not full blizzlike, so bending those guidelines to create an option NOT ANOTHER SERVER that allows ppl to switch from a pvp server style to a pve server style for a small fee with a 24 hour cooldown. that is what I said, read the the whole thing or don't say a word please.

I think it suck , i m sorry. Maybe at the most , people cannot atk gray level player ..... but pvp is part of the world experience.

They advertised as PvP. They aren't going to change their view on this.
