Hi,

Why is shield block value still missing from the game or at least the SBV you should gain from strength?

Str should give +1 shield slam dmg for every 2 str, but this mechanic is missing completely, making prot pvp even harder than it should be.

So is there a reason for this and if not, when could I expect this to be added?

Shield Block Value was not listed in default Ui until TBC. Shield Slam shield block value scaling was not implemented until 1.11.0 (naxx patch) which included base reduction of it's damage, and 20 rage cost.

The client is running on 1.12.1 (supposedly), but the patch it's running is 1.5.

Enjoy the guesswork and math.

The client is most definitely 1.12.1. You can verify that by the Wow.exe's properties and the client login screen. It's the server-side "1.5" patch that's questionable.
