Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I've gone through Dun Morogh, Elwynn Forest, Westfall and Loch Modan four to five times each, with Find Minerals active, and I haven't even seen one.

Do they even exist? Do I need to fill some special condition, like being able to see Unicorns?

Edit: Numbers updated, Copper Veins are still less sighted than Bigfoot.

I cant answer for alliance zones as I'm horde but when I started here on release I found copper everywhere, which is surprising considering the MASSIVE amount of people lvling up in the starter zones the first weeks. Perhaps I was just lucky, or perhaps people ignored to lvl professions on release, only to start lvling them now.

Been feeling the same. A week ago they existed. Now they're gone... almost. Feels like something has happened with vein spawn.

maybe they fixed them? because they were (and probably are) bugged and not properly grouped.

Well maybe. But I just levelled a new toon to 20 and have found less than 10 veins on the way. And I ho out of my way to find them. But that might just be bad luck. I dunno.

Can I get some higher-levels to provide input here? Do you have trouble finding Iron? Thorium? Mithril?
Are Herbalists having noticable trouble finding any specific herbs?

Well, in general that's only a symptom of the fact that spawn-times are (supposedly?) blizzlike, while the server population curretly is 2-3 times as large as the most populous servers back in 2005.

TLDR: More people means more competition for spawns, mobs, resourses.

partially true.
the spawntimers are blizzlike (i guess) and the population is 3-4x higher: yes.
but like i said before, only the black lotus seems to be grouped properly. this means, instead 1 out of a ~4er group vein/herb, 4 out of 4 spawn and each has their own timer, cause they are not grouped properly. this increases the amount of veins/herbs available by 3-4 again, making the "herbs/veins per player" kinda blizzlike again.

but if they fixed this and grouped the herbs and veins like it had been on retail, it would lower em again by the power of 3 or 4 so it might appear to be much less (than before) to you.

the herbs/veins per player should now, with the buggy vein/herb spawns, be kinda blizzlike and nothing to complain about rly.

agree with there arent any good quantities of ores and not only copper cause if u thing u cant find copper then wait till gold or silver hilarius only some herbs -_- do we even know the respawn time for ores or herbs? i would like to know about ores cause am doing an experiment and going on the same hidden spot for copper to check the time spawn but i waited even 4 hours there just to see how much time takes to regrow but sadly its worst than hilariius should be regrowing every 5 mins with 10k ppl lol

They really need to bump up the node respawn rate, or acknowledge they are broken. I tried mining mithril all week and I can barely get a stack an hour. Tried various zone known for high mithril counts but still barely anything. I then /who'ed the area only a few horde players I asked in general a few times to see if anyone was farming it but no one responded.
