[Suggestion] Repeating "one-time" World Events

Before you say it. I know they're suppose to be one time events. But I'm thinking down the road like a year after Naxx.

((Assuming Nostalrius Begins isn't patched up to TBC))

That those one-time events such as AQ Gate and Scourge Invasion should be repeated on the anniversary of their release dates.

Of course with some modifications; namely AQ's event.

For that the "Ring the Gong!" quest should be bypassed and instead the "Ring the Gong Again!" quest should be subbed into place (I think it might be possible with some scripting changes). With the option to re-enable the first quest should all of the Scarab Lords move on from the server (ie their account hasn't been active in over a year).

((I'm not aware of any other events having rewards that would be 'unique' such as a Title and Mount. Mostly just unique epics...that Ravencrest Sword!))

The sole reason for this is to keep new players coming in. -- I started here because I want to see the AQ Gate event.

And to keep old players returning.

Just a thought....these event were truly amazing and I've yet to see them duplicated in WoW or in other MMOs [of the current variety].

I agree,

I think once the current players essentially are done / move to TBC if that'll be a thing to redo those events so the newer players get to experience them.

World events are a big part of interest in veteran players, I hope they decide to be lenient on the "PURE BLIZZLIKE" mentality.
