Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

First of all, I want to say I am new, and I really like this server. A big thanks to the people involved.

I just have one minor suggestion that will make this a perfect experience for me.

I asked this in the general chat, but they said "it wasn't vanilla". However, when I started playing this game (August 2006), it was there. It was still Vanilla at the time. The big TBC patch wasn't released. And I vividly remember having Exclamation marks for quest givers on the minimap.

I know there is an addon out there... But I'm just trying to enjoy questing, I don't want to be too spoon-fed doing quest, and that's exactly what those addons do. Secondly, it shows marks for a bunch of quest not even there.

Do you have sources for that? All I remember was, that once you picked up a quest and gathered items or killed mobs for quest completion it started to be yellow looking like an ore node of or herb node.
Actually the exclamation marks whether they were present in vanilla or not are the first step to spoonfeeding. It really kills the purpose of looking around in a town, being awestruck by Blizzard's art in terms of building cities and small encampments.
I think it's awesome that you have to look around for yourself to find your quests.

Really, I wish people stopped suggesting retarded mechanics because "that's how they remember it was in vanilla". If you geniunely believed it was this way back then, you could've done some research before making this thread. This is almost as bad as that other guy claiming he remembers hunters having no deadzone after beta ended.

Thanks, man. And good point. It does force your to explore the towns, which is pretty neat. My memory is just so iffy lol. I guess convenience got the best of me.

It wasn't in Vanilla.

It was not vanilla and i agree with that , but also it is not something that will hurt anyone if we can have such mark and do all the quests that exist

for example i am doing that job all the time for my personal fun and it is sometime nasty searching around from one to other npc in order to find low lvl quest

Yes, it does. Questie does have its fair share of bugs and will show quests not in the game or ones you've completed (if you didn't start using it from level 1), plus it'll be missing some quests, but overall, it's very good.

Shagu Quest is also a good alternative, although the display isn't automatic, it is a lot more detailed than Questie ever could be.
