Seeing topics like this:
viewtopic.php?f=45&t=20896

an easy solution is implementing a small, 1 second trade delay after both accepted the trade where either side can still cancel it

Before posting non-sense, you should really ask if it's possibly with the coding in the original vanilla client. Probably something that the devs here can't control.

A better solution, (which I'm surprised isn't already in place), is to make it so that when one side has accepted the trade and if any changes are made to the opposite sides offer, it will either cancel the trade or to un-accept the side that was originally accepted.

It doesn't even need to be implemented... Viper amended the ToU to include a permaban for all scammers.

more work for GMs that way

implementing the delay should heavily reduce that, however the "laggy feeling" of it might suck

There's already an annoying delay when you're sending mails (understandable though). What's the point of making trades painful as well when all you have to do is to be careful ?
There's a whole thread on the forum with a list of trusted crafters if that is your problem and you don't have guild mates you trust for specific crafts.
If it's about buying/selling item(s) to a stranger without the AH, you should just check that things are correct before pressing accept. The trade window system is perfectly fine if you have the bare of minimum of common sense which makes you be careful enough when you deal with a stranger and before pressing accept and/or take a screenshot if it's a big deal. If you get scammed in a trade window and don't have proofs, it's your fault basically.

Always let whoever is paying press Accept first. If this is too hard to grasp then you deserve to be scammed honestly, unless if you're a complete newb to this game but those people are extremely rare on a private server of a 10 year old game.
