Hey Nostalrius/Community! I am proposing we remove the faction lock on PvP servers. Sure, this is meant to be as Blizzlike as possible, and that is a very valid argument. But I think this destroys community in a sense, my friends are split 50/50 between Horde/Ally and would love to play with them all, sadly I cannot. This lock is just basically forcing us to create another account if we wish to play both factions. Which, in my opinion, is an unnecessary waste of time/recourses.

I believe disabling the faction lock will benefit the community immensely and remove the need of a second account if we wish to play both factions.

Just make another account its not that hard. It is not like you have to pay a monthly fee so juggling two accounts cannot be that hard dude.

Well, creating a new account won't take long, at all.
Relogging won't take more than a few seconds, I agree with you that it should be removed, but using a second account isn't too much to ask for atm imo

I agree with this suggestion. Indeed another account is easy to make, and that's exactly why I think we should remove this.

I know I can just easily create another account, but if it's that easy to just make a second account and have to relog why not just remove it? It's basically just making us jump through a lil' hurdle.

Because it is MUCH more important to be blizz-like than to have common sense

If its important for somebody that gives you this service for free, and puts time and effort, maybe you should be more grateful than bashing on forums like everyone else.

Its not about common sense, its about an idea, to have a server as close as possible to what Blizzard gave us.
If devs start changing that on day 2 because someone thinks "this doesn't make sense... all this wont sustain, by day 20 you'll see people flying around.

So just say thank you and deal with it!

I disagree.. not everyone goes through the trouble of making multiple accounts because there's a risk of being banned for logging into two clients simultaneously.

We must do what we can to foster faction identity.

OP is just requesting this for his own convenience and isn't considering much else. Let's not argue for him.
