Lock/Correct Threads, Not Erase

Nost. I would like to suggest that your forum moderators not outright delete threads they do not agree with. If the thread is "bad", lock it. If a post is "bad", put in one of your green messages saying not to be bad. Do not just erase entire threads from existence because you disagree with them. Thank you.

I agree, or make a sub section to move those kinds of threads into.

On previous forums I've been on, the only time a thread was deleted was when it contained porn or something.

Yes, this is sad and a form of censorship. I am sure that somewhere in their terms of service it gives them the flexibility to do so, but still. The community is only as strong as it's members and stuff like censorship is a good way to get people to jump ship to other projects offering similar gameplay.

Seems par for the course lately. 10/10 not surprised.

It was a completely useless thread save for the small announcement that was made in it. And that wasn't needed for long, since the official announcement was made today anyway.
To be honest, it should have been removed long before it was.

We only archive spam threads or threads that violate our terms of use or copy-cat threads that circumvent the locking of some other thread. Otherwise if the thread has run its course or it has been completely derailed, it can be locked.

There was a thread not so long ago, which had not derailed and one person made a bad comment and was very sorry about it afterwards, linked this thread and wanted gm's to take notice. The point is, don't lock or delete threads just cause of one bad weed, root it out and let people continue discussing.
