COD time limit

We have all had the problem of CODing an item to someone, only to have them let it sit in their mailbox for days before returning the item. I propose a 24 hour time limit on COD mail. This means a player would have 24 hours to decide whether to buy or return a COD item once they have received it in their mailbox otherwise it would be automatically returned.

Or you can not be so gullible? It was 72 hours all through retail, therefore it will remain 72 hours here.

I don't know if it's gullible of me to assume someone is going to pay a price they agree on. If everything has to stay exactly how it was on blizzard vanilla why even have a suggestion page? There is a difference between blizzard like and exactly the same as blizzard. Quality of life improvements are a good thing.

But bugs and exploits happened throughout vanilla. So they should happen here, right? There is no point in improving a decade old game, because it was perfect a decade ago.

some exploits indeed should be kept,
here: http://www.sirlin.net/ptw-book/what-should-be-banned
it really is worth reading

if there's no change needed, it should not be changed

In this case a change of the current system definitely is not necessary and does not only have upsides as you probably assume.

What's the downside of not allowing someone to keep an item they aren't paying for hostage for 72 hours?

having to ask to resend it if you couldn't accept it within 24 hours?

wasn't that hard to figure out....

Why wouldn't you be able to accept in 24 hours? Why make a deal with someone knowing it would take over a day to pay them? Not being able to complete a trade after a full day to do it, is laziness or bad planning. Especially since most people complete trades right away.

Also asking someone to have to resend may be a good thing. One it gives you the chance to check the AH for a better deal. It also let's the seller know that his item hasn't been paid for yet and gives him the chance to make a deal with a more responsible buyer.

I think your being intentionally argumentative because the fear of change on this server is at an industrial level.

that kinda is being intentionally argumentative^^

agreeing on a CoD deal implies knowledge about unpredictable waiting times for the money to arrive. Just don't agree to CoD deals if you don't like it?

it's just an unnecessary thing to bother the devs with
