Given that the PvE server is several content patches behind the PvP server, it really won't work out.

Even if they were on par, cross-realm BGs is one of the things that kills WoW for me. Part of the enjoyment of single realm BGs is being able to meet that pesky [name] outside of the BG, learning your enemy etc.
