Is there any plan to have a donation system that comes with in game rewards, like gold or something? Seems like a good way to get easy funding as long as the rewards aren't completely broken. 5 Gold per $1 seems fair.

Making economy collapse? Nah. I don't think this is a viable way to ask for funding.
"Rewards for donations" are basically a cash shop. And as long as it influences the game itself, I am against it. Vanilla had no cash shop, so should this not have one.
Donation rewards are the main reason why most pServers are absolutely a chore to me, as they are imbalanced up to game breaking. And let's be honest here, buying gold for money is prett game breaking, even if most equip is Bind on Pickup.

I also read somewhere that they didn't want to add donation rewards. But I could be wrong.

Weird but they stated nothing about it on FAQ.

However, I'm sure that won't happen, ever.
