Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

The whole vanilla server is cool, however I have always played two accounts Multiboxing EQ1 14 years and EQ2 5years WoW for at least 5.....I like to play a priest / warrior combo I only do this when I am solo Raiding and grouping I use just one. The terms of agreement and what post I have found seem to be very draconian on this. I am not cheating I actively play both and use no macros or addons that facilitate any assistance. I like the server, however I think I will go back to retail just so I can play as I always do. I would even be willing to donate to the upkeep of the game or whatever as I love the old world.

The general rule on this topic is that we never restore deleted characters. This is because the only time a character is deleted is either by a player, or by some unauthorized (or otherwise) access. Sorry, that post is about restoring characters, but i quoted it to show the GM saying they are strict about their rules. Multiboxing is agaisnt their terms of use, and they are going to abide by that like any decent dev team should. No exceptions. Multiboxing is seen as an exploit and has never been aloud here or retail as far as I'm aware.

Actually multiboxing was - and is - legal in retail. But valandar is right: multiboxing is strictly forbidden on Nostalrius, main reason being that accounts are free here opposite retail, where accounts costed money.

Multiboxing is highly detrimental to the economy and ruins the game as a whole to everyone (except the multiboxer himself).

There are two reasons why blizzard never disallowed it.

1. More accounts, more subs, more money.
2. Noone did it anyways so it was a non-issue.

I hope they will never ever allow it on this server.

And how is that so? I still pay for spells on both toons , pay to fly anywhere twice, buy two sets of gear, and take twice as long to do gather quests. Actually I help the economy and I am broke most of the time.

You need to look at the bigger picture, if multi boxing was allowed tons of people would do it to level tons of characters and some would use it to farm gold, mobs, and nodes. Its an exploit to the system, there is only supposed to be one character per person playing. Those are the rules, for a good reason too.

It cost twice as much to maintain two so the whole farming gold is a farce....Nodes only give x amount of ore so no advantage there and last time I check nodes are not working for some time, and it is not an exploit as the retail game allows it. As for rules world chat is full of vulgar offensive people spamming about their junk and exploits 24/7 and no one addresses that...I am a respectful player and often assist others. I am exploiting no one and mind my own business.

Also while groups as two the exp is less for each toon as is the silver dropped so no advantage there. Most people do not duel box as they have a hard time controlling one toon as opposed to two...so no fears of massive overload.

Dude, you got your answer: multiboxing is bannable.

There is no reason to invent arguments to make it legal. If you decide to do multibox anyway, don't come back crying if your account(s) gets banned.
