I guess you just have to post a ticket in game. A GM will help you and restore the item or reset the quest for you.

He is refering to his lvl 20 class quest for water totem.
Drop your Qs; go back to Ratchet and Waterseer pick up part 6 again (get new purest water). If you lost your water sapta she als ohas a replacement quest for that
