So, I got contacted by a game master for writing a ingame yell on horde side, which a sensitive finnish alLyeANX guild got hurt by and reported me.

Well, this gm contacted me to notify this and then began to properly investigate the issue. I had not really abused the messaging, so I was not warned (just as any reasonable person would have decided). The thing is that I completely understand you having a policy and rules regarding writing letter combinations that translate through to opposing factions, in situations where people spam messages

I also completely understand the policy affecting people that just spam a large text of words to either block out other factions chatlogs or otherwise grief, but that's also the only thing that this policy should target. I was informed I could have been recieving an account warning depending on the GM or situation, even for one messages or as in my situation I did two /yells.

Being able to do these kinds of yells has been a thing for me since early 2005, being able to write something witty to another player crossfaction to either thank them or perhaps mock depending on situation and I personally feel it's kind of atrocious to have the policy completely prohibit this.

Again, I agree with you having this and people who'd use the yelling to spam offensive things or spamming, but just for doing one message that could be used for taunting others isn't really justified considering you can do emotes as /spit /pity. A message that simply says MU HA HA really does not offend anyone.

the joke is that game masters of this server should be aware that you can indeed ingore enemy faction players. else he shouldn't even be a gm. that a gm even responds to that kind of thing instead of doing something useful (warn/ban afkers in BGs) is worrying.

if you ignore enemy faction players they dont even do the /yell animation. sorry for not bothering with a cross faction yell. cba to look one up. but it wouldn't make any difference.
