Oily blackmouth, firefin snapper, sagefish?

For whatever reason, Nostalrius has veered far off the path of "blizzlike" in regards to "school of fish" spawns and respawns. When fishing for oily blackmouth from a spawned "school" after you clear the 1 -5 fish, you can camp the spot for a respawn, what actually does respawn is a random pool of some random fish. It is a pretty unreliable method of leveling alchemy when you look on wowhead and http://db.vanillagaming.org and both point you to darkshore, then when you get there, all you find is sagefish, because that is the random spawn that just happened to occur on that spot. Lets make this fair guys.. How about mining nodes spawn a random ore? Like copper veins in westfall respawn as thorium, so miners also have to go traveling zone to zone looking for random copper spawns? Or miners looking for thorium in silithus can make the mining route and fill their bags with random spawns of copper and tin, and hope that the next random ore spawn in the rotation will be one they need? Why not just tell it like it is? "School of some random assed fish"? I noticed when i started, the schools were spawning properly. Blackmouth schools respawned as blackmouth school, with aprox 20% chance of being a debris school. That was fine! Apparently, someone figured out that low level characters could make money from fishing these. Well they are still making money, but now they are gouging players that need free action potions, since these blackmouth are the main material for blackmouth oil for the FAPS. It works out great for those with a fishing bot, or that stands and fishes these all day, but to a person fishing them to use.. it is an all day deal to get a couple stacks.

Furthermore, it takes an ungodly amount of time to even catch a fish!

I just find it odd that something pretty much everybody needs on a pvp server is so damn hard to get or expensive that you can't afford to buy them.

From what I seen so far the pools work as intended, the respawn rate correspondents with the current population just fine. And to say frankly I quite enjoy going for a "pool" hunt in Wetlands or Tanaris. :)

Like I said, in retail on pool spawned one type of fish and when it respawned it was the same type of pool. Are you saying, you enjoy running from one end of stranglethorn vale to the other looking for an oily blackmouth pool, fishing them, and finding none at all on your return trip because everybody else was looking for the same pool spawns and skipped sagefish and other schools?

Other nodes don't do this. You will never be mining copper to level and suddenly, all you can find is iron, so you now sit there waiting for a higher level miner to take the iron node, hoping the next spawn will be copper again.

All I am saying is this mechanic makes it very hard and very expensive to level alchemy, especially since everybody thinks free action potions should be sold for less than the cost of the materials to make them.

By the way... I don't think I've seen very many level 20s running around Tanaris. Tanaris is where you went to fish stonescale eel, for stonescale oil, which is level 250+ I believe.
