Chat Client

I'm not sure if this sort of thing is even able to be done with the server as written, but I know live EQ had something like this and I think it would be cool to have on this server.

A portable chat client that can be taken with you wherever you go via USB or other storage device. It could be copied over to the PC/laptop you're at and run without installation and it would hook up to the chat servers for your character's guild or other chat channels in the game (obviously not any zone general, trade, or localdefense chats as you wouldn't be in any specific zone).

It would allow myself as a guild officer to be available during more portions of my day when I am physically unable to be at my PC to be logged into the actual WoW server.

As this is probably not going to happen, I suggest using IRC instead. Back in the day Ultima Online had no other method of chatting but /say so guilds used IRC channels instead. So get an IRC channel up & running and you can check it through mobile service, as it's very lightweight, and get your guild members to use it as well.

Something like this was made in another game and it was the stupidest thing ever... way to get even more spam in the game from ppl bored at work or bored while waiting at the dentist appointment.
