Has the Meeting Stone outside dungeons been acknowledged or planned to be fixed? Would be awesome if it was looked into. Having to travel across the world every time can get monotonous :?

Meeting stone could never be used to teleport people in Vanilla.
That was added in TBC.

Are they used for anything in Vanilla or just big rocks sitting there then...?

they were used as some kind of LFG mechanism in vanilla. You clicked on them and it put you to LFG, when 5 people did the same, it formed your group.

The travelling is a key vanilla aspect. Changing that into a "one click blink to anywhere across the world" system is one of the things that turned WoW from an experience into a game. In other words, one of the things that ruined it.

In vanilla a Warlock was something special and sought after in groups. Because they had this amazing magic skill to summon people to them. Now that was something!
(Get what I mean by 'experience' instead of game?)

Without a doubt, totally agree. Was just wondering on the use of the stone, which someone addressed in an earlier post.
