Increase Spawnrates for Herbs and Minerals

You might consider increasing the Spawnrates of Herbs and Minerals the same way as you are increasing the Spawnrate of Mobs.

Totally against this suggestion.

Also there are zones where Herbs are all over the place (too many spawns). I.e. the swamplands have far too many spawns of Goldthorn.

I have no idea how blizzlike the spawn rates and locations of herbs and veins are on Nostalrius.

Having said that, if we assume they are blizzlike, then if the server population remains stable at 5k+, the spawn rate definitely needs to be increased.

The spawn rate on blizzard servers was designed to sustain about half the number of players we have on Nos. Moreover the demand of some herbs and veins would be significantly higher on Nos even if the population would be the same as a blizzard server - the reason for this is that a larger proportion of the population, compared to retail vanilla, aspires to raid on a regular basis and with the appropriate list of consumables.

If the nodes are scripted correctly, and I believe they are (or at least they seemed to be OK during beta), each zone as a minimum number of plants that have to be spawned at any given moment, which makes it possible for an herb to respawn instantly (not necessarily in the same spot, nor as the same herb) when you gather it.

Kinda like the mechanism in place for Black Lotus, except it's only zone-wide here.

This somewhat like a "dynamic respawn" mechanic that Blizzard implemented later for mobs respawns. Only time will tell if this is enough, but I might help to provide herbs for a large population :).

Not sure about herbs, but from experience I'm quite confident it doesn't work that way for veins. Once a zone is mined dry it stays that way for a while. Some people I know have even gotten respawn timers of certain veins and have been returning to the respawn spots and watches as the veins respawn in front of their eyes. Clearly not the dynamic respawn you describe for herbs.

The main reason I brought this up is to make sure we have enough Herbs for everyone. If it stays at, let's say 6000 people population, we are gonna have a whole bunch of raiding Guilds all in need of high level Herbs. And i dont think that a dynamic respawn would hurt the economy, Dreamfoil Stacks for 50g on the other hand, would. I just thought it would be good to have this discussion now, rather than at a later point when we are already having the Problem.

Black lotus spawns are not Retail like at all, Either do not make them Static spawns as they are right now, they are not ZONE but 1 spot spawn every 1h.
So you either remove every lotus from a game a make it a rare drop from every high lvl herb or you make it DYNAMIC herb nodes. Dynamic means you loot a herb it appears somewhere else, even next to you, that does not work as it should because going through the zone for 3 hours and getting like 10 nodes ain't Blizzlike.
You can see the dynamic respawns at low lvl, those are non existant, and you will be able to see it very soon on high level herbs as they will cease to exist aswell.
