I'd like to propose the staff selling name, race, and faction change tokens to help support the server financially.

No, there is nothing about this that is "pay 2 win", it's not as if I'm proposing the server sell gear or mounts or levels.

if anything, only problem I see with the faction change tokens is if Alliance or horde got massively imbalanced, but rather the faction change tokens will help equalize the factions.

Second That, I like to change the way my character looks from time to time.

This is an awful suggestion. Name change and faction change are not blizzlike in classic wow.

No, this would ruin the main reason I love this server. Once everyone starts changing their names and looks no one becomes unique and it starts to dampen the immersion. I came here for an authentic immersive vanilla experience.

No it wasnt in vanilla wow and it will ruin things, if someone ninjas oh change name dunno who they are anymore, or you could get gear from a guild then faction transfer to be a complete dick. would make it so there was no rivalries etc etc list goes on

I support this suggestion with both hands for changing the looks of your toon, but not a name (unless it's against naming policy) and in no way a faction.

All the things you guys said when voting against it, can all be seen. True, it ruins the vanilla-experience, but if you're to get that experience, you should pay each month, so instead of that, this suggestion could keep this server alive.

And about faction changing - ninja, everything can be traced, if someone name change, the developer can easily see the old player who used the name change.
If the server is in need of money, ever, this is the best thing you could do to earn them.
The only thing that could worry, is the faction change, as I could imagine the horde 70-30 maybe. Who knows, anyway, +1+1
