I know this is a vanilla server and that's fine by me. I love the fact that vanilla is like a sandbox but it's also quite limited. For instance it would be cool to add more companion pets inside the game even though they weren't in the original.

It would be so much better to walk around doing quest (that in vanilla are not too exciting) and suddenly come across an egg. That would be kind of neat. You can use the already existing companions from other expansions and spread them around the place, in fact that would make exploring more fun. Of course that only makes sense if you don't care about a lore reason why they got added.

You can add a clouded hedgehog and hide it in a cave for example
The color does fit most of the normal caves plus it would be cool to find one of these while questing. It would give a much bigger sense of exploration.

A pet like the clefthoof runt would fit Mulgore quite well (appearance wise) even though lore wise it doesn't make much sense.


New players will find it much more enjoyable to find little things like these spread around the world while leveling and they also don't give gameplay advantages.

As a whole this is just a simple suggestion that probably wont be taken seriously since I presume this server doesn't allow custom stuff. And even if it was accepted it would probably end up at the bottom of the to do list.

But it would still be a cool little life improvement.

Who says any of those models work in WoW's engine as it was in 2006? (Assuming they can even be exported). They can't just add random stuff to the client.

Maybe they can use existing models and just change textures or make recolors. But as I already said, even if it is possible I doubt that the devs will spend time on things like this. It's just an idea nothing more.
