Casting + Melee damage

Please fix the casting + melee damage. At the moment if you are casting and are in melee range, right after cast is finished you hit with melee, while melee should reset after casting. It's just a really big bug, which can be fixed easily.

Elaborate if you could. If you're talking about a caster auto attacking after a spell is finished, you have the choice of this. If you assist a target, you automatically cast Auto Attack. If you're talking about resetting the swing timer after a spell has landed on a target, I'm going to need a citation if that is truly blizzlike.

I believe he is referring to the swing timer for mobs. In vanilla retail, after a mob casts a spell that has a casting time (maybe even instant casts), the swing timer resets. This keeps you from hitting immediately after a frostbolt or immolate. The mobs on Nostalrius seem to attack immediately after and in-between casts. This is the best example that I could find: https://youtu.be/FaV6oAteJGI?t=1h19m58s

I think I see what you mean here. Basically the mob isn't able to hit you right after the NPC is hit after its cast. I've never really noticed this as a problem, but I guess it would alleviate many deaths I had (and will continue to have). Does this affect all NPCs though? Wondering if this swing reset affects instance mobs as well.

Not sure if there have been attemps made to fix this, it is however still an issue. Create a lvl 1 mage, attack a mob with your melee weapon once, and start casting. If you wait for ~1 sec between fireballs, you will hit the mob again - on Blizzards servers, this was not the case, as finishing a cast would reset the swing timer. This basically allows mages to do nearly full melee damage while also doing full casting damage, which should obviously not be the case.
