Which classes are highest in demand these days for PVE Raid

Are tanks not in demand for raids and in guilds?
Was thinking of leveling one but I don't want to end up with pre raid gear and not able to progress because I can't commit to a strict raid schedule due to work.

For raids? No. For Dungeons? Yes.

Play whatever class/race/spec you want. The game is designed for you to enjoy. You will spend ages looking at your character so you might as well enjoy it.

yes I and others who chimed here don't want to raid - did it all on retail 10 years ago over and over and over again....

and then again on peenix over and over and over again - not everyone wants to do endgame raids for the 90 millionth time

if i'm online and my guild needs a hand, sure i'll jump in, but everyone has different goals/priorities - especially on a private vanilla server

just finished grinding out AV rep for TuF and Don Julio so I'm content to PvP as Reck spec or DPS/Tank 5/10 mans or 20mans when they come out here on Nostalrius
