Question about some water of fine reputation

Hello girls and guys,

In a farm in Elwynn Forest, there is a dude with a nice hat - who maybe wants to become pirates' king - who is willing to exchange flasks of water for apples. His quest is repeatable - blue question mark.

Sometimes, I get one reputation point among humans for my exceptional bravery in doing this trade, sometimes I don't. I checked: the quality of my water is each time unquestionable.

So what makes the difference? It doesn't seem that there's a maximum reputation level after which you can't get more or that there's a limited amount of flasks that you can trade: I tested both of these theories.

So is it a maximum character level? Or a bug?^^

Doing this at lvl 6 doesn't seem to give any rep. Haven't tried it at lvl 1.

Thanks, I had looked up around the Net already, but found no answer so far.

I've seen this subject too: they don't state what happens. I know that on official servers, the cancelled the rep in all cases, which explains the last post on the page.

But on Nostalrius, it seems he gives rep sometimes.

i guess this is just bugged like the Q for IF
or maybe it was added in a later patch thus restricted right now

It is indeed the quest on your link. I'm not sure why they'd patch it, because it wouldn't be vanilla then.

I'll try it with a character at level two, so see if it makes any difference.

wowhead doesnt show anything added pre 1.11.1 afaik. i guess that feature wasnt avaiable there before
you need other websites for such things
