Quest not obtainable

Hi

I'm confused.

I remember that i was able to get Arctic Buckler from the quest in BFD on my 19 twink
But now it seems my level 19 twink still has a silver !, so i can not obtain it to start the Q in BFD.

I remeber in vanilla having the shield on my twink

Also i can't complete Raene 's Cleansing on my twink, Quest is still silver while on vanilla retail this was obtainable.

The vanilla wowhead DB lists that quest as requiring level 20, but the follow-up quest inside BFD only requires level 18.

Not sure why the first quest requires 20; all of the Wowhead comments talk about how it can be done by 19 twinks and such.

Indeed, that is why i was very surprised even at level 19 i can not obtain the Q in darnasus to get the Quest in BFD. I remember well having this shield back in vanilla on my 19 twink pala.

Ye, horde can obtain the quest at 18.

Alliance must be 20.

I believe it was with TBC that level requirements for quests in a chain except the first one were removed. I assume you wanted to do Raene's Cleansing to get the Glacial Stone for your twink? That is unfortunately not possible in vanilla.

As for Blackfathom Villany, I think that is indeed a bug. There's been a report for a while (https://report.nostalrius.org/plugins/tracker/?aid=1295) and I hope they fix it soon. Want to get that shield on my twink too and more importantly the wand for my priest.

That is working as intended, but the quest from Darnassus should not be required to accept the one inside BFD.

I would definitely expect that many of the quirks about this game are in its software version. For example, auto-loot was added some time after this during vanilla (I miss it), but this version of vanilla is widely available. I even have the private server software for this version of the game (torrent), though no scripts have been added.

I did not play this version back in the retail vanilla, so some of it is new, but the experience so far has been better than expected.
