Ahhh - foreign people are so classic. Greetings @ the end of your post. Love it.

On topic - yeah this server should be stable for a long while. There some concerning issues w/ communication and transparency but as everyone loves to say "It's free you lazy fuck, GTFO!!!" so I guess we just have to deal with that.

But yeah, great server, possibly opening a second realm - should be around for a long while. As always, with any private server, you never know so your investing your time @ your own risk.

Try it out. You won't need motivation if you enjoy yourself.

I felt the same way before I started here. Didn't feel like leveling at 1x exp rates, but honestly, I ended up enjoying it a lot. Discovered a lot of quests I never knew existed, and did all of the dungeons (well, most of them) along the way to 60.

And no, the server is not going to shut down after 1-2 years. Even shit servers like feenix are still running after 4 years, so I doubt nost is going down any time soon.

Blizzard doesn't give two shits about this.. Rest assured, they make almost a billion a year selling bullshit helm transmogs, pets and mounts . Don't go thinking they make less money with the subs loss, they are still making like two times more than wotlk time because they keep adding rubbish to their shop list.

Why are people so terrified at the concept of a server going offline after a couple of years and losing their 60? Did you not enjoy the time spent roaming the world and leveling up from 1 to 59? Did you not love chatting it up with people in city/trade chat, forming groups, running instances, raiding bosses, battlegrounds, PvP, etc.? Did you not like making friends, being in a social guild, and getting far more out of playing the game in the present than fearing the unknown in the future?

So many people potentially missing out on months, if not, years of fun and adventure simply because there's a possibility the server won't be around forever.

Totally agreed. If Nostalrius went down for good, I would be sad. But none of the time I spent here would have been wasted. I enjoyed every second playing on the server.

Wait wait wait.... did I just see a retailer get concerned that their time investment has a chance to be in vein after two years? Doesn't that happen on retail every 2 months?!

If it gets shut down it gets shut down, whether you play on it or not.

That said, the server resides where it does for a reason. Blizzard won't be taking it down.
