Disclaimer (emo gamer rage statement ahead) the most recent rollback pretty much crushed my soul.
Back story: I worked my way up to level 27 and even had a guildmate take me on a couple of fishing trips to farm gold along the way. All the time saving for a mount. When I realized I did not need to save money for the mount as a feral druid I decided to dump my money into materials at the auction house. I spent 16 gold at the auction house on leather working materials. I used those materials to raise my leather working skill from 167 to 179 and unlocked two patterns I had been waiting to learn.
Then the abrupt server disconnection dialogue pops up on the screen. I eagerly log back in to the server. Upon my return I discovered my leather working skill was back to 167. I also discovered that all of the items I created raising my skill from 167 to 179 were still in my bag, but the materials were gone. Essentially my inventory reflected the leather working I had done, but my skills did not. All of this would have been no big deal whatsoever if it wasn't for the thing that really did me in.
ALL of the gold I spent on mats were gone. No gold, no mats, no skills. Just a bunch of replica items that I could sell on AH to make back a portion of the gold I had spent.
Rant over. Love the game and will return when the server issues are over with! I will still tell people in my office to do the same. As gamers I am sure the devs understand my plight and will grant me a gracious leave of absence until this is resolved.
I will be back to fishing for Oily Blackmouth and Rumsey Rum Black Label to get that gold back

See ya when I see ya wow friends!
