Multiple players in the same house?

How about multi-boxing and bots ?
You're not allowed to use any form of program to control multiple characters at once. You are, however, allowed to be logged on, say, two characters. The only thing we allow multiple characters for, is professions and banking, this means you cannot /follow level 2 characters at once. This will result in a ban of one of the two, and if repeated, both. It is also not a problem if you are, for instance, three family members in the same house, playing at the same time. Each multi-box case will be judged individually, so don't worry if you're not doing anything wrong.

What you can't do, is PvP with multiple characters, Dungeon with multiple characters, Raid with multiple characters, etc.

If you are two people playing two characters - no problem. If you are 5 people playing 5 characters - no problem.

Hi, I've got a question about Nostalrius' policy for accounts on the same IP address. My brother and are planning on rolling on the PVE server when it comes out and we live together. I know that accounts on the same IP are fine as long as there's actually two people playing, but is it true that we cannot ever use the follow feature or we'll be automatically banned? I found a post on the Nostalrius subreddit saying this (https://www.reddit.com/r/NostalriusBegi ... to/cqg9f3b):

I'm just telling you a thread I read on the forums, they look for people using follow and if they are on the same IP they dont ask questions. Just questing without using follow should be fine though.

So if I understand correctly, if one of us goes to use the restroom for a minute, or we're traveling between questing/grinding spots, etc we are not permitted to use the follow feature? I'd hate to get banned because we were in an instance and one of us was like "yo I need to piss I'll put you on follow for a min". Hopefully someone can clarify how this policy works because I know the staff here are extremely strict with this kind of thing and I don't want to ruin my chances at playing the only server I've had any interest in in years.

My girlfriend and I have been using /follow on eachother while questing/leveling and probably will use it in the future while running to instance portals and whatnot. We've not been banned yet, and I would like to assume that the policies on this aren't THAT arbitrary that they just ban people for /follow'ing someone with the same IP - at least not without actually checking the two characters for a while to see if it seems likely that there are 2 different players or not.

You should NOT use /follow. It is not like it will get you banned right away for doing so, but it looks very suspicious, and you may be reported and - if doing /follow for a longer period - perma banned.

Just don't use /follow - and why would you if you are both playing?

Myself and my GF both play together. We use follow all the time normally so one of us can pop to the loo or stick the kettle on for a brew. Saying you should ''NOT'' use follow just sounds stupid when its a game feature.

Greetings,

We do not automatically ban people but avoiding /follow when inside an instance or when questing does help.

The GM team.

Thank you for this information. My wife puts me on follow all the time!
