Thoughts on 8 debuff limit?

I see problems to the debuff limit, but frankly I just want to experience how it worked out. I can see why they upped it, but I think it could be an interesting limitation which makes us have to think a little different. And since most of us probably know vanilla like the back of our hands by now I think it could be nice to spice things up a little.

Exactly. And same goes for the absence of priority system before the cap was raised to 16. Would be kinda nice, if it were to be confirmed.

I think with community feedback, we should see how it goes, then when the time comes, they have the opportunity to make AQ harder by keeping it at 8.

I'm not sure we should rely on "community feedback". There will always be people willing to play with more "convenience" and be able to dot / debuff their target in order to increase their rank in the damage meter.

The problem with 8 is that is was pre-1.12.1 talents which is what we have. With 1.1.2.1 it opened up a number of viable specs which puts a lot of strain on the debuff limit.

It's not that it can't be done - obviously we did it back in the day - it's just that it reduces the viable specs.
