Pardon my ignorance (PvE realm denizen) but, how was the BG 'thing' back in old vanilla? I mean, servers were 'capped' at some 2k-2,5k (at least i never saw one with a population higher than that), and people played BG's arenas etc. Nos PvP has 3 times the numbers, and you lament what exactly? Long BG waiting queues? How is that possible? I seem to remember that cross-realm BGS (and instances) were not there since day one? Was the BG gameplay boring then?

I don't know anything about the technicalities, but assuming what you said about the simplicity of the scripting is correct, I don't see any other reasonable argument for why they shouldn't do this once the pve server catches up content wise.

Doesn't really matter, once BWL is out on the pve realm the gear gap isn't that big.
We dump on ally shitmades all day in blues/5mans and they're in pve bis/r12.

Going to disagree with the majority here and say that I hope there is no cross server battlegrounds. One of the best things in vanilla pvp for me was the fact that I knew the vast majority of people in the battleground when I joined. I'd see the same people in BGs that I would see out in the world, and it was also a great way to meet people from the server as well. You'd queue up and get in a BG, form a raid, then when you won you would stick to that group and requeue. Gradually you'd get to know the people on your side better, as well as learning the tendencies of the players on the other side.

Might be different on the nost pvp server since it's absolutely massive, but I played on a launch realm that was high pop back then and I still knew ~90% of the people in BGs by the time I hit warlord.

This won't happen because the PvE server is behind in progression. I hope it occurs at some point though because the BG queue times are terrible, and I imagine theirs will only be considerably worse. While I'm glad the cowardly dodging was removed, the price is us spending 15m in queue for a match. And this is a WSG I'm talking about, which isn't even full when it pops. It then starts with half a match and fills in the rest later, after a team has already gotten a free cap due to being the bigger side.

Mango Core dont support connected BG, if Nostalrius will release it they will build it from scrath and i heard this is very difficult task.

no currently available core supports connected BGs, even trinity core doesn't have a commit for this and that's the most developed one, or has that changed?
