uhmm, what? My world view? I'm assuming you're assuming my opinion is biased and nostalrius can't do anything wrong in my eyes? I barely ever play on the server anymore, so it wouldn't personally bother me if it crashed and burned tomorrow. Talk about ad hominem, huh? :P
The only reason I may seem "hostile" is because it's appalling to me how everyone is so quick to sympathize with the "victims". Do you honestly believe the GMs put this much work into the server just to fuck everyone over with permabans randomly thrown around?
If you lurk the forums long enough you will see everyone is exceptionally fast to blame everyone else except for themselves when they get banned, and they will leave out vital information in order to get the communitys sympathy, and judging by these ridiculous threads it's obviously working.

I emphasize, don't exploit OBVIOUS bugs and you will never get permabanned. Feel free to mock me if that ever turns out to be wrong

Actually I agree with almost everything, except the last. The reason this bothers me is because the miners in Silithus who got banned were not exploiting any obvious bug. The thought (as did I, and I've played this game for 11 years and on 3 different private servers) that this was how they were supposed to work.

And in fact, Ooze-covered Mithril nodes still work in exactly the same way today that the Ooze-covered thorium veins did before they changed them.
The pizza level in my bloodstream is dangerously low.

i am banned to "accidentadly" connect from 1.12.2 client, 1.12.1 client is only supported.

Nostalrius server disconnect wrong clients, but bans account with PERMANENT ban who log in server with wrong client.

i have spend lots of hours to level my lvl 60 banned mage, and get banned permanent for a mystake, not 1 , 10 or 20 days, PERMANENT.

This is the most shameful experienced matter with 4 private servers along 10 years. That's need to be changed, and i cannot believe read 5 or more post daily with supposed ppl doing wrong actions, i'm sure lots of them have wrong banned as me.

Of course some things need to result in a permanent ban, but I have to agree that they should warn/suspend first instead of ban in most cases.
Time and space, it's a crossroad through a gate, where do you go?
