Nostalrius fixes that are incorrect & needs to be reverted

I have kind of mixed feeling about this.

While like you, I want the original vanilla experience, it is also true that they won't deliver a 100%, and in that case seeing a few fixes that Blizzard never made back doesn't seem that bad.

Obviously everyone has their own ideas about it, I'm not saying you are wrong or anything, but personally I don't mind if LoS works properly. To each their own, I guess. Just my two cents.

LoS working properly is LoS working just like it does on the Blizzard servers. There is no other proper. The only reason why LoS works like it does on almost all private servers is because Mangos/Trinitycore uses the same thing that some guy made a couple of years ago. He just didn't get it right.

The mangos LoS is also very buggy, sometimes you gain LoS protection by just standing very close to an object or in a certain spot, which makes it so nobody can attack you from any direction unless they stand ontop of you.


Remember that there is a reason why Blizzard made some objects not grant LoS protection while others does. Having it another way screws with the game balance.

On official servers you can hide behind a tree, just not after the casting has already started. If that is what you mean in the post, then apologies, I misunderstood your point.

You have obviously never played on retail, just make a starter account and pick human hunter or something and you will see that you can shoot the wolves through all the trees in the starting zone.
