Yeah this is not NINJA LOOTING since he won fair roll. It would be ninja looting IF he masterlooted item for himself while you all agreed to roll for loot beforehand.

IMO, caster rolling need on melee gear is maybe not "ninja-looting" but it's definitely "ninja-rolling" so he's still a ninja.

Ever notice how main tanks in raiding guilds are always running Sunken Temple? Because they're after that "1337" epic tanking sword "Dragon's Call"? The one with major tanking stats on it?

Sure would suck if some up-and-coming Warrior tank lost that pre-raid BiS sword to a Mage.

Because it's such a stellar tanking weapon.

However, it is more ideal for a leveling fury/rogue than it is for a mage, obviously. Therefore, a dick move.

An example of loot ninja would be stealing the domo chest or the rogue who stole Vis'kag from Onyxia without guild consent.

Sounds like you take this game a tiny bit too serious then.

On topic: I am surprised so many people don't consider this a ninja (or atleast a dick move if ninja rubs you the wrong way) It's a decent pre-raid sword. Even if you consider it a novelty item, then I would still consider this a dick move since mages don't even engage in melee combat so they can trigger the effect.
