Get 2 gathering profs, profit. Vendor ALL the grey/white shit you come across as you kill things.
Don't spend money in the AH buying things you don't really need - it's fun, but mostly a waste of gold you should be saving.

This! Don't buy stuff on the AH that will get replaced anyways within a few levels. It's not worth it in the long run unless it's a melee weapon with a major improvement.

Herbalism is bad.

Max people that where allowed on a Blizzard server back in 2005 was 2500 and as you may know Nostalrius has a lot more players but still old herb spawn rate, except AV battleground seems good just 1 small problem
each zone has +99 herbalists and i ain't getting no herbs.

Also level 1 characters are still camping nodes in Silithus and such on multi accounts.

i farmed shimmering flats basilisks for 2 days straight for my 40 mount haha , its around 5g per hour or so. hard work but it gets you there
