Thank you, although I only understand half of it, it answers a bit of my question

So those that get in without any VPN setups are just lucky on some priority scale?

Correct, because they are all subject to the filtering and protection that OVH implements on all inbound traffic. Without internal traffic, it's a matter of hitting login at the right place and time.

Your provider has NOTHING to do with it. It's just a matter of luck in cases like this.

Thanks. I thought it might be certain IP ranges that providers give to their customers and that you could have a 'bad one'
