I was in a game once between Stonehearth Bunker and Icewing Bunker horde had the GY. For nearly 20 min everyone just stood afk not even fighting. Maybe 1 person tried to get past and they died. Most of the people in there are there to do AV grind for tome of shadow force / Frost or Don Julio's. Its a shame, the game could be really fun if more then half the players were not afk leaching rep. It won't change

The game would be fun if you could premade it. Imagine the grand strategies that could be made with 40 people on TS that actually listen to the leader.

you have never seen gryphons and wyverns thanks to bugs.

which seems to be ok for nostalrius after half a year release of alterac valley.

you rather see stormpike graveyard AFKing and turtling thanks to dun baldar respawn timer bugs.

Nostalrius 2:0 Smart dedicated people who play wow and wish to be the best AV by reporting bugs and never gets fixed.

"Thank you for 10.000 Likes" -Nosta Facebook update.

This. Unfortunately AV is the ultimate example of dumb game design, so yeah...

Agreed. To be honest I'm thinking it would have been best if there were no battleground rewards that were as good as they currently are. Better if they were pvp oriented rewards for people who play the battleground for the sake of the battleground, kind of how the rank 10 and rank 13 sets are made for pvp, and not grinded as raid/pre-raid materials.

Right now you get a myriad of people going "omg, need da rep so I can go MC !". That is not at all how pvp and grand scale AV should be seen at all.

Sat in a AV for 6 hrs last time I played AV, kappa life it was just pure pvp everywhere. Was prolly months ago though. Fun stuff, won it by going zerg style.

Dr. Doom wrote:Just finished my first AV in Nostalrius. It was maybe the biggest reason why I joined the server, and was in awe after learning how the devs were so dedicated in trying to restore it to the best of their ability to its 1.5 glorious initial set-up.

My faction won the match, yet I hadn't felt so gutted since I began playing. Nobody has any interest in doing anything. I volunteered to gather supplies from Irondeep Mine if someone would come with me to help capture, only 1 rogue came so we couldn't do it. I also asked if someone would like to get the banner for Proving Grounds and retrieving the trinket. Another rogue came, but facing level 61 elite yetis isn't an easy feat.

It felt like retail without reinforcements. There was even the randomer complaining about how "turtle suk mang", even if the match was over before the first hour, and a hysteric person yelling about how we all don't zerg drek'thar.

I have to ask, is this because Alterac Valley is in its weekend and people want to maximise gains, and is old AV actually played the rest of the time, or is it actually impossible at all to play the best part of World of Warcraft, regardless of day, because the people playing it are simply uncapable of appreciating it, in spite of the monumental dev work?

All of this happened in Vanilla as well. People had struggles to finish quests like the trinket one.

I'm already accepting of the fact the bugtracker reports aren't addressed. The way I see it, I just play this server with the mindset that none of the bugs will ever get fixed.
