Do you have multiple gmail accounts that forward to your main account? This happened to me, then I realized it was stuck in spam folder of a different address because spam doesn't forward.

I finally got a confirmation email, but I had to create a different account with a different email. Which is a nuisance. Hopefully I'll only ever have to use that account for password recovery. Since I won't ever check that email it would suck if they send newsletters and other important information to it ;;

This makes me wonder how many duplicate accounts we have signed up because of this issue.

a verification email is no longer needed in order to activate your account.
when a account has been registered you should be ready to play!
