Hunter quest and unkow pet

Hi,

How do I finish my hunter quest (lvl 10) ?

they asked me to capture a roar.

I did it.

Now I have an Unknow pet and when I click dissmiss, nothing happens.

My master now ask me to capture a Surf crawler. When I try to capture it, I have an error message "you already own a pet" (or something like that).

Is the quest bugued ? How do I delete my unknow pet ?

I don't have any pets but I still have the unknow icons :

after being afk for 15 min the unknow pet disapeared

edit : now I have to capture a scorpid and I still have the same problem with an unknow pet...

I think relogging fixed it for me. Basically, to avoid this bug, you need to abandon the pets as soon as you have tamed them with the taming rod.

I couldn't abandon the pet, when I captured it i had it on the minimap (icon) but when I asked him to attack an ennemy, nothing happened, I didnt have any real pet.

I noticed that if you Hearthstone while your pet is out, it's name will change to Unknown. But you can still control it and if you emote on it, it will have its correct name in the chat window.

Also if you /rl (quick reload UI) while your pet is out, it will keep it's normal name but it's pet bar will disappear and you can't control it until you dismiss and call it out again.

There also was a bug a couple of days ago that made all new hunter/warlock pets Unknown and not controllable but it should be fixed now.

for the quest that happend to me also, you tame the quest pet, it comes up unknown and doenst go away.
you have to be near the pet to abandon, it does not follow you. go up to the pet after you tame it for the quest right click portrait and abandon.

The "unknown" pet name bug happens to me when i HS and sometimes persists trough login. The way to get rid of it is to put your pet in the stable, relog and then get it. This should fix it.
