I doubt you got ban for insulting people in Barrens chat. Yesterday I was in WSG and some guy was posting racist jokes over and over , but didn't seem to be punished. He spammed WSG today also.

TL;DR: Don't be stupid next time, common sense should tell people to not do the same, WITHOUT you even posting.

Wow, such insightful advice. "Don't be stupid,"... Why didn't I ever think of that!? I realize now that all these years I've only been choosing to be an idiot! I wasn't aware I could simply stop!

Look, I made a racist comment. Taken in context it was obviously facetious. Maybe it was in poor taste, maybe it wasn't funny, maybe I should have been banned. But it was far, and I mean far, from the worst thing said throughout the collective Barrens chatting. Yet other people who said worse stuff continued on making derogatory comments, while I sat there muted.

I don't know about you, but when I see tons of derogatory/inflammatory comments go unpunished, I automatically assume that I am also free to make such comments.

the next time a police officer pulls you over for speeding, please explain to him/her that because you see other people speeding, it must mean that you're allowed to speed too.

In other words, we do not have enough GMs to monitor all chat channels on all zones at all times and we often (but not always) rely on players reporting rule breakers. If you see someone break our terms of use, please use the in-game ticketing system to report them.
