Lets say that we have those chances of seeing Bindings - or whatever it is.

To have 99% chance of getting an item - with 3% drop rate, we need to kill that mob like 159 times.
I feel this is a logical calculation and working against those numbers, makes you feel as if you at least KNOW that you at the most should (in theory) have to slay that mob this many times before you will be able to loot that item.

Here comes the shitter - doesn't that mean that the same person will have to enter MC and create loot table easch time?

Cuz if thats the case - have fun trying to get inside MC each run as the first person.

Im really happy that finally an awesome vanilla server was created - so not seeing my second binding is ofc making me sad face - but I will gladly stay without it if this community keeps growing and becoming stronger and stronger. Epics can be DEd - but an amazing community is what makes me log on everyday to do things with my friends and foes.

exactly what i have already said ^ this guy gets it.

No, because it's 3% chance regardless of who seeds the loot table in the dungeon.

I'm gonna give this one last try here:

So, we all agree that the bindings have a 3% droprate when you kill the boss right? Good.

Now, every single time you kill this boss, he will have a 3% droprate. This has NOTHING to do with what happened before or with what happens afterwards. It doesn't matter if you killed the boss a million times before and kill him again, he still has a 3% droprate.
You can kill the mob 158 times and on the 159th kill you will still have a 3% droprate. This has nothing to do with the player who "created a loot table" or if ten million other guilds on the server already killed him that day.

Now if you're sitting here before your first MC raid and you're thinking about how long it will take you to get a binding. Yes, you can calculate that. And yes, in 99% of the cases you will have the binding in your inventory after your 159th run.
BUT if you have killed the boss 158 times and you still don't have the binding, your chances for it to drop on the next run are still gonna be 3%, nothing more, nothing less.

Rofl @ how people are comparing the chance of it dropping on 1 run and the chance of it dropping during a series of runs and getting confused.

Dish is correct, this is how statistics and drop rate works. And his post is also a good point to close this thread with.
