you are so retarded to compare the time investment of capping 4 towers + 3 gys to capping 1 gy
just stop posting u mongoloid shitstain
petoria wrote:On its own the backdoor would not be a huge problem, the main problem is how well the first horde tower / gy is defended vs the alliance GY and bunker. The mine layer patrols right alone that road killing pretty much everything , the choke point is so narrow a few decent ranged can slow down the main alliance force . Once you get past that you literally have a tiny narrow path with mines ether side to get to TP.
Compare that to the alliance bunker just sitting there in the middle of the field, with the horde GY right next to it.
Dr. Doom wrote:metagame wrote:If the horde send 10 competent people (mages/hunters/whatever) to defend the choke at IBGY even a fully geared coordinated 40 man ally group will wipe at that choke no matter what.
The original design of the game was more or less structured by giving each side different advantages and disadvantages.
Alliance's first base, Stonehearth Bunker is terribly bad situated for defence, practically in the middle of the field with nothing but the few mines before it. Likewise SHGY and IWB dont have any real barrier protecting them. On the opposite end, the horde would get the chokepoint advantage for their first tower and gy, and a better concentration of units.
The compensation would be for the deeper base. After FWGY, the village and keep areas aren't too difficult to bypass for Alliance, while the bridge of Dun Baldar and the decent firing range from the bunkers would make it much easier for Alliance. I think what people find annoying is that due to the design flaws in the Dun Baldar ledges, Horde can largely invalidate this part. For argument's sake, it'd be more or less if you could climb from the Field of Strife to the rez area of IBGY, invalidating the Horde's map advantage.
It is what it is.

varth wrote:No, the main problem is the alliance insist on killing Galv before doing towers or GY which is tactically idiotic. You could have capped both IB tower and IB GY instead of doing that, then MAYBE going back to galv once you have that done. That one thing is why I'll never listen to ally whining, no shit you have a disadvantage because you have 30+ ppl waste 5 minutes every single AV while the horde tryhards to win the damn thing.

Mines everywhere.
this is curious

The backdoor is riddled by mines now.
Literally any ranged class can solo defend it, and making the games into a turtle. Seen plenty of 2hour+ games during the AV WEEKEND so I stopped queueing for AV completly since it's a complete waste of time
Oh no, AV lasting more than two hours like it was designed to? Sounds like retail would be a good spot for you sweetie.
