warrior or shaman

Hello, like most of you guys, I'm excited to jump back into some vanilla action. Pvp will be my main focus, but I'm strill trying to figure out what I'd like to play. I'm considering Warrior and shaman. Most likely melee, but who know perhaps elemental range would suit me, Vanilla seems so far behind I have forgotten how it was. I'd like to be self efficient for most circumstances, but I also want to feel skill reliable. I don't want to feel like I highly depend on rng or on class "brokenness". I'm also lost between orc or tauren. Anyone could help me come up with my decision?

If you want to be self-reliant then a shaman would be much better as you will have a lot utility (totems) and heals that a warrior lacks. Orc would be better if you go enhancement spec due to having a couple of useful melee racials and tauren would be be better if you go resto or elem due to warstomp racial skill allowing a quick casting spell to get off. Orc stun resist racial is pretty sweet for pvp as well.

About Shaman:

I'd say Orc is the best race for Shaman in PvP because stuns are your worst enemy. Blood Fury isn't worth mentioning because the debuff is too severe, you'll die more from it than you win games. Axe Specialization doesn't do anything in PvP. The only reason to choose Orc in PvP is for the Hardiness Racial, if not then you're doing it wrong.

Tauren isn't too bad either, Warstomp allows you to get a cast off so that's great and 5% extra health is sweet.

Shamas are very self reliant and all 3 specs work in PvP. Although Enhancement is pretty garbage in grouped PvP compared to Elemental and Resto, it's the 1v1 spec.
