The joys of leveling slowly..

by Kemosabi » Mon Mar 16, 2015 11:36 am

In this hussle-bussle world it can be hard to stop and smell the (virtual) roses! I always used to rush to the max level, but this time around I'm taking it slowly and enjoying the journey rather than rushing to the destination. Plus I'm playing a prot pally, which helps the slow process/

My favorite parts about leveling slowly:
-Leveling professions as you level. I can't wait to get my Phantom Blade!
-Doing EPIC quest chains and actually enjoying them. Like Linkin's Sword, Fallen Heroes of the Horde, and traveling to the Alterec Mountains to go toe to toe with some elite ogres. How epic is it to spend days on a quest chain and in the end rally up some friends and guildies, travel across the world and back again to Ungoro, scale the mountain and slay that fiend, Blazerunner!!
-3 hour Gnomer runs.
-Actually reading quest text and getting into thr story - especially in the zones I often skipped: Feralas, Western Plaguelands, Eastern Plaguelands, Dustwallow Marsh, ect..

What are your favorite parts of leveling slowly?

No just Azshara on retail and Feenix for private. Cmon people! Lets get some ideas perkulating! Plus, end game content is good and all, but there's so much to experience while leveling.

A good thing about leveling slowly...The fact that people will do everything at max lvl without you? Doesn't seem good to me.

I'm alliance, so when our party was headed to a dungeon, and we encountered a horde group also headed to that same dungeon, a small scale arena ensued. Love fights like that. Then if you're lucky enough, more people join in and it gets to about 10v10 or larger. I love aspects of that in a PvP server. Just adds more fun to the dungeon/questing grind.

I bet you get to participate in all the endgame content on a server with five 60s (overexaggeration to make point), while the rest of us are still leveling :)
