Carless banning

I actually like the harsh bans. It makes a statement and protects the server integrity. However, its the innocent people that get hit in the crossfire thats the issue. If they could address this it would be solid.

Weird, I have never received any donation ( and never asked for one ) and people are unable to subscribe to me, because I am not a twitch partner.

I went and read these appeal threads you were talking about OP, and I had to come by and thank you for the laugh this morning.

My favorite was the one who made an account for his "friend" and happened to name it after his own account but added a 2 on the end. Really guy?

My friend who got perma banned for SUSPECTED botting was level 24. Nostralius' priorities are backwards, and im trying to fix that.

It's rather unfortunate because this thread is now 3-4 pages of bickering and nonsense. GMs still have yet to respond to multiple threads that I'm keeping tabs on, i.e, game breaking issues, and wrong bans.

Nostralius is banning on suspicion and that's a very very dangerous practice. The GMs need to start acting like GMs, or people will quit. It's not that they want to quit, it's that Nostralius is giving us a silent ultimatum:

You might get wrongfully ban, and that's okay with us.

Check my thread if you can find it on the support forums "Banned for using a gamepad". This is exactly the problem, the staff are banning on suspicion, not fact. They aren't investigating, finding 100% the person is cheating and ban, they have the attitude "I'm like 65% sure you're doing something wrong, so you're permanently banned with no appeal". When it comes to the anti-cheat that's a program not a human, you will get false positives that need to be investigated. For botting you need to be 100% sure they're botting because innocent people are getting banned do to an overzealous attitude, or incorrectly trained or informed staff.

I was head GM of a smaller 3.3.5 server several years ago. The expectation was if the bucket could not hold water don't fill it. So unless you are 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt sure you didn't ban people. This is equivelant to a judge thinking you're guilty and not having the evidence to prove it yet giving you a death sentence anyways.

As always I applaud the staff for getting rid of those who ruin the game for us all, but when you blindly swing the hammer you're gonna hit a few innocent people.

Auto follow and AFKing in BGs should NOT be bannable.
Half the people in here saying they should be are just sucking GM dick

AFK in a BG should be 100% bannable. Warnings given first and then banned though, not a perma ban from the start. By AFK I mean like a previous poster said, standing still for 4m45s and then jumping to avoid AFK boot. If you have to run off to take a piss, let the dog out or grab a drink you're not AFK. It's the ones who will AFK an entire evening of BGs that we want to get rid of.

People are used to the same tolerance as on blizzard servers and that tolerance is way higher than here on Nostalrius.
