WARNING: Don't put quest items in the bank

If you put a quest item in the bank then take it out you'll find you won't be able to hand in the quest.

In a lot of cases you can drop the quest, accept it again, then hand it in. The items don't seem to get deleted. But be careful when the quest giver isn't the same as the hand-in.

I've just been stung by this bug yet again with the quest "The Super Snapper FX" meaning I have to fly the whole length of Kalimdor twice to get the follow-up.

Just posting a warning to save other people some pain.

I can confirm this, but ... sometimes, it may help complete stucked quest
Today i've started Ledger from Tanaris quest (or something like that). Quest giver is in the Searing Gorge (SG), items required for this quest can be obtained at SG + Swamp of Sorrows + Dustwallow, and quest should be completed at Tanaris. I get all the mats, but quest-guy in Tanaris doesn't want to take them ... I open a ticket, wait for 20 mins without any response, and decide to put these items in bank, and take them back to backpack ... and it worked!

I had the EXACT same scenario on the EXACT same quest. BUT - the bank stuff didn't work for me. I had to drop the quest and go all the way back to SR and back to Tanaris again for it to complete.

that's weird
maybe it was a coinscidence and gm helped me exact at the same time i've put my items in the bank? so i didn't even notice it, also i abandon my ticket as soon as i saw it fixed, so he wasn't able to communicate with me or something like that
