The LoS is actually a lot better than I remembered it being. For some reason I feel like LoSing NPC's is way better than in retail. Leveling a rogue sucks balls and I have to LoS a lot of casters and I am surprised at the number of things that count as LoS (trees, stumps, walls, pillars). As for PvP it was one of the things I kind of wanted to go mage for because I remember LoS in pvp being shitty, so you have that advantage, but also you have to remember this is Vanilla. Cloth wearers can easily get demolished in 1-3 hits by a melee class, unlike in WoD.
So, yeah they can hit you behind things but if you can beat their kiting and get to them you can kill them in a couple hits if you out gear them; which is another key pvp aspect of vanilla...out gearing your opponent..vanilla rewards dedicated players as is the nature of true MMOs. The more time you spend gearing your character the easier it will be to own players who have not put as much time in. Which is one of the reasons we all want to play vanilla.
